Can Fifth Graders Write Persuasive Essays?

Can Fifth Graders Write Persuasive Essays? Are there any Fifth Graders who can write persuasive essays? This is a question I hear from teachers all the time and the answer is no.The reason for this is that writing a persuasive essay is something that an adult does, not a child. Most adults do not understand the difference between opinion and fact. Therefore it is not surprising that most of the things said in a persuasive essay are opinions.Even though a persuasive essay is written by an adult and is often by someone who has had years of practice, an adult cannot just come out and say whatever he or she feels. This would lead to arguments and long debates with no resolution. Now the trick is that you have to get into the person's head and to control their emotions. You need to create an argument so that they begin to feel like you believe what you are saying. The problem is that this does not happen when an adult is writing. An adult has become a fact and they cannot change that fact.T herefore a persuasive essay must be written by a child. A child may not be the best writer in the world but a child can make a persuasive argument in many situations. If you have a child who has been to all the right political rallies, has gone to all the right speeches on the right issues, and the child really believes in the things that they have been told then they will be able to express themselves in a persuasive way.A person in fifth grade who can write a persuasive essay is somebody who has become an adult and understands their emotions. When they begin to feel a certain way about something, they will be able to express that feeling and persuade their readers that they are right and that they should agree with them. This is the skill that your fifth grader must develop if they want to write a persuasive essay. This skill will enable them to express themselves in a persuasive way.It is also the skill that you must bring into play if you want to write a persuasive essay that mak es a difference. Instead of writing an essay that reads like a technical textbook or one that talks about things that your audience already knows, you will be able to convince them that what you have to say is very important.
